Date: Taisho to early Showa period
Material: Cotton

This is a vintage Japanese cotton garment with a unique and charming look due to its hard damage and uneven coloring. It has padding, originally worn as an outer layer to protect against the cold. The Kasuri pattern, including Yukinko, and the indigo dyeing are truly beautiful.

The fabric on the back is textile and looks cool. It can be repaired or used as-is for a more authentic feel. Vintage Japanese products like BORO are becoming increasingly rare and are no longer found easily in Japan, so don’t miss out on this opportunity.

■ Condition ■

There is uneven coloring throughout.
There is a large tear from the hem to the side, and some of the batting is also missing.
The stitching under the armpits has loosened and is now a hole.
Additionally, the overall fabric and stitching seem to be weak. (Damage is likely to spread due to washing and wearing.)
There are some slips and stains on the fabric in some places.
The garment’s tie is missing.

This is an old item, so if you do not understand this, please refrain from ordering.

We have washed it twice. There is a smell peculiar to old items. Even if damage or smell returns due to washing or wearing after ordering, refunds or exchanges will not be accepted. Please order only if you understand this in advance.
