This is a rare vintage hanten-style coat worn by a Japanese local fire brigade during the mid-Showa era.
Unlike ordinary festival hanten, this piece was used directly in actual brigade activities, resulting in authentic signs of wear and age-related fading that cannot be replicated artificially.

The color has naturally aged into a deep, faded charcoal gray—displaying the rich tone and rough, matured texture unique to long-worn cotton. The visible wear marks and heavy patina give it a powerful, real vintage presence.

The hand-painted kanji on the collar and back represent the brigade’s organization and locality—an iconic detail of traditional Japanese firefighting culture.
