This impressive item features a reversed lining, a design that originated in the Edo period. During that time, the shogunate issued decrees banning luxury, and common people were prohibited from wearing brightly colored clothing. However, people’s sense of fashion didn’t comply with these decrees, leading to the creation of uramasari, which focuses on the lining, not visible from the outside.

This classic design is not only beautiful but also artistic. It looks great when worn with traditional Japanese clothing or as a stylish jacket. It can also be used as a material for customization or remaking.

Haori, noragi, hanten, and Japanese vintage items are gaining popularity overseas and have become more valuable. They are becoming increasingly rare, so don’t miss this opportunity.
