This vintage band collar shirt was made in Japan during the Showa era.
Rather than being mass-produced, it appears to have been handmade with care by someone well-versed in dressmaking.
The hand-stitched "L" size marking at the neckline adds a charming personal touch.

Crafted from breathable, unrefined cotton, the fabric showcases a deep, rich indigo hue that lends the piece a quiet presence.
Though it remained unused for decades as a deadstock item, we have gently one-washed it to soften the fabric and prepare it for modern wear.

The design is minimal, featuring a single chest pocket and a silhouette reminiscent of classical shirts seen in the Taisho to early Showa period.
