This is a large furoshiki cloth made from valuable indigo-dyed antique Japanese cotton (kofu) crafted in the early Showa period.

The impressive size (four-panel construction, approx. 138 cm × 135 cm / approx. 54.3 in × 53.1 in) features kanji characters dyed on both ends, reflecting the history of merchant houses or storehouses of the time.

The greenish indigo color has a depth and character unique to aged antique fabric, radiating a one-of-a-kind presence.
