A large cotton furoshiki from mid-Showa-era Japan, naturally faded into a quiet two-tone that no dye process can replicate.

Furoshiki are traditional Japanese wrapping cloths used to carry, wrap, and transport everything from gifts to daily goods. This piece, woven in a classic stripe pattern, has aged into something more than its original purpose: a textile with depth, character, and the unmistakable hand of time.

The two-tone fade, where sun and use have softened one half of the cloth more than the other, is not a flaw. It is the record of a life. No factory can produce this, and no new fabric can hold it.

The item will be compressed for shipping. Creasing may occur in transit.
