The early Showa era produced haori that were built for daily life — not ceremony, not display. This men's piece carries that quality: a semi-long cut that moves well, a structure that holds its shape without stiffness, and the particular weight of a garment that was made to be worn, not stored.

The outer fabric is a blended textile with quiet depth. The lining is primarily cotton, with a different fabric used in the sleeves — a detail that speaks to the handmade construction of the period. This is not a mass-produced piece. It was made by hand, for a specific person, in a specific time.

Wear it over a white tee and straight-leg denim. Wear it over a turtleneck in cooler months. The semi-long length adds presence without weight. The open front means no complicated fastening — just put it on and it works.

Vintage Japanese haori are now actively sought by collectors and stylists in New York, Paris, and London. Well-preserved early Showa pieces are becoming increasingly rare. This is one of them.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece. Once it sells, it will not be restocked.
