This men’s haori jacket was crafted around the early Showa era and features elegant indigo striped fabric. The cotton material offers lightness and softness, and the natural aging of the fabric gives it a distinctive vintage charm.

Not only the outer fabric but also the lining is exceptionally beautiful, adding subtle presence when the haori is removed.

Haori jackets originally became popular during the Edo period as formal wear for samurai, and from the Meiji period onward, they were worn by the general public as casual or outdoor clothing. For men, haori function both as a layer over kimono for warmth and protection, and as a style element, balancing functionality with aesthetic appeal—a true Japanese “jacket.”
