This is a men’s haori made around the early to mid Showa period.

The outer fabric features a calm striped pattern.

While the surface has a simple appearance, the lining uses a very attractive patterned fabric, allowing you to enjoy the stylish construction typical of haori from that time.

Although the lining of a haori is not visible from the outside, it was an important detail that reflected the wearer’s aesthetic sense.

This haori is a piece where that cultural aspect can truly be felt, with the lining standing out as a particularly distinctive feature.

In addition, this haori has the unusual specification of not having the loops ("chi") used to attach haori cords, which are commonly found on haori.

Because of this, it also works well today as a casually worn haori jacket.

It can be styled not only with traditional clothing, but also with T-shirts or denim for a Japanese-Western mixed style.
