This is a set of three striped cotton textiles dating back to the early to mid Showa era in Japan.

All pieces are made of cotton and feature a soft texture and rich tones developed over time. Two of the three fabrics have hand-stitched patchwork repairs, once done as part of daily life. These visible layers of cloth reflect the personal histories of their original owners.

The character of boro—well-worn, visibly mended cloth—is clearly present throughout the set.

This is a one-of-a-kind example of Japanese vintage textile, recommended for use in remaking, upcycling, or as a unique display or collage material. It’s also ideal for textile research and study.

Please note: the set will be shipped compressed, and may arrive with wrinkles.

Edges are unfinished and may fray.
There are signs of wear, discoloration, damage, and hand repairs throughout.

Please refrain from purchasing if you are not comfortable with the nature of vintage materials.

We have washed these pieces twice. However, they still carry the distinctive scent of old fabric. Please understand that we cannot accept returns or exchanges for issues such as odor or additional fraying that may occur after washing or handling.
