Era: Mid to Late Showa Period (circa 1950s–1970s)
Material: Believed to be a blended weave (cannot be confirmed; please refer to images for details).
This is a striped vintage fabric bolt woven during the mid to late Showa period.
The fabric has a refined sheen and was likely intended for men’s kimono, haori, or hakama at the time.
It has been preserved for decades in unused condition as deadstock, making it a rare find today.
The size measures approximately 36cm (14.1in) in width and 594cm (233.8in) in length. While shorter than standard bolts, it remains highly versatile for tailoring, handmade projects, or creative remakes.
It can be utilized for kimono accessories, bags, clothing accents, or incorporated into interior décor, patchwork, and other craftwork.
This vintage fabric from mid-Showa, with its nostalgic yet modern striped design, adds a unique presence to contemporary living and creative works.
