This is a vintage indigo-dyed kasuri noragi jacket. Originally worn as everyday workwear by Japanese farmers, it is made from durable and flexible cotton kofuku (old cloth) that softens beautifully with long use. The deep indigo tones, the woven kasuri patterns, and the natural aging of the vintage fabric all contribute to its unique charm.

Designed as practical workwear, noragi offers excellent mobility and an easy-to-layer structure. This functionality translates naturally into modern styling: wear it casually over a T-shirt as a light outer layer, or layer it under a coat for added depth and texture.

In recent years, vintage Japanese noragi and indigo fabrics have gained strong attention overseas. In the U.S. and Europe especially, Japanese vintage, boro textiles, indigo dyeing, and the character of aged fabrics are highly valued within slow fashion, sustainable fashion, and remake/handcraft communities.
