One side: bold, timeless stripes. Flip it over: deep, quiet solid indigo. Two faces. One garment. Made in early to mid-Showa Japan by someone who worked the land and needed a jacket that could do the same.

Indigo dyeing was never just about color. Naturally insect-repellent, odor-resistant, and antimicrobial — indigo was the practical wisdom of people who lived close to the earth. This noragi carries that knowledge in its fibers. The indigo will continue to fade with wear, deepening in character with each use.

In the global Japan vintage market, reversible-construction noragi with solid indigo lining are among the most sought-after pieces. Collectors and slow-fashion communities across Europe and North America recognize what this represents: a garment built to last, not to be replaced.

One piece only. This is a genuine vintage garment, and no second example exists. Once it is gone, it will not return to the store.
