This is a Japanese vintage noragi made in the Tohoku region during the early to mid Showa period.

The outer fabric features a striped textile with a dark, subdued tone, giving the garment a calm and dignified appearance.
While not flashy, the fabric shows a depth that comes only from long-term use, resulting in a quietly strong presence.

The lining is cotton, and boro-style patch repairs can be seen on the inside.
These repairs were applied for practical reasons as part of everyday life at the time, not as decoration, and their simplicity has become one of the defining characteristics of this piece.

This garment is not designed to be reversible; however, the lining fabric is visually striking enough that wearing it with the inside partially exposed can also be appreciated.

Originally made as workwear, this noragi can now be worn as a jacket in contemporary styling.

Recommended for everyday layering, stage costumes, photography, as well as for handmade or remake material.

There are signs of wear consistent with age, including fabric thinning, holes, repairs, fading, and abrasions.
Reinforcement and repair are present near the inner hem.
