Description

This is a cotton Uwappari Noragi made during the early to mid Showa period.

The outer surface features a calm navy-based stripe pattern.
In contrast, the lining is made of plain indigo-dyed fabric with no decoration, which is a rare and valuable detail and represents the greatest appeal of this piece.

Uwappari were short work jackets worn during farming and daily labor.
They were not created for appearance, but purely as protective garments against dirt and wear.

The short length characteristic of Uwappari gives it a charming presence on its own, and it also works beautifully as a layered inner garment.

It can also be considered for remake material, reference use, or as a collectible piece.
