This mid-Showa period Noragi jacket is made from cotton fabric, originally used as a Japanese workwear for daily farm labor. Over time, repeated use has created a unique texture and character, giving this piece a compelling vintage charm.

The front surface features striped cotton fabric with a “crazy pattern” – the stripes on the sleeves and body differ, creating a playful, asymmetrical aesthetic. This design captures both the practicality of traditional Japanese workwear and the accidental beauty of handmade garments.

The reverse side is a plain, blue-based fabric with subtle fading, giving it a soft, lived-in feel. Repair marks are visible on the reverse, adding to the “boro” aesthetic that appeals to fans of patched and repaired textiles.
