This Samue jacket is made from cotton Shijira weave fabric, known for its textured surface and airy feel. The checkered pattern adds a classic yet relaxed impression.

Originally worn by Zen Buddhist monks during daily labor (samu), the Samue evolved over time into casual wear and loungewear. Today, it is embraced not only at home, but also as outerwear for city strolls or travel, and even as uniforms in cafes and galleries.

This piece features elastic cuffs for ease of movement, practical pockets at the hem, and a Haori Himo tie at the front for a simple closure.
