This wool cape was tailored during the early to mid Showa period.

It is an outer garment created during a transitional time when daily life in Japan was shifting from traditional kimono-based clothing to Western-style dress. While prioritizing practicality such as warmth and ease of movement, it quietly reflects the sensibilities and aesthetic values of its era.

The cape form itself is characteristic of garments seen from the Taisho period through the mid Showa era. Its straight yet softly flowing presence gives it a distinctive and restrained appearance.

A characteristic vintage odor is present.
