This is an authentic 1950s Japanese firefighter happi coat.

The collar appears to have been replaced, featuring indigo-dyed fabric with some characters in old kanji. The back displays a large emblem, the waist has two white stripes, and red stripes run from the shoulders to the sleeves, creating the iconic bold design of a firefighter’s happi coat.
