This indigo-dyed cotton fabric dates back to Japan’s Taisho–early Showa period.
Formed by two panels sewn together, it features a striking deep-blue tone that has beautifully aged over time.

While the cotton is firm, it retains a soft handfeel — a texture that reflects its life as a household cloth from nearly a century ago. The deep indigo hue is one that cannot easily be reproduced today, making it highly sought-after for handmade and remake projects.

Because of its generous length (approx. 25.8" × 55.5" / 65.5cm × 141cm), this piece can be cut for crafting bags or accessories, or simply worn as a stole or scarf. It also makes a stunning table runner or interior textile, bringing a quiet touch of Japanese tradition into modern living spaces.
