This vintage Japanese kimono-style jacket was likely worn as an everyday garment or dressed-up casual wear for outings during the mid Showa era.

Its core construction resembles traditional noragi (Japanese workwear), giving it a warm, rustic character.
The contrast between the indigo-dyed striped cotton and the velour collar adds a subtle sense of refinement, and the fabric will age beautifully with wear.

It can be worn like a lightweight jacket over a T-shirt or used as material for upcycled or reconstructed pieces.

Currently, vintage Japanese clothing—commonly known as Japan Vintage—is gaining strong recognition overseas, especially in Europe and North America.
