This is a mysterious Japanese fabric shaped like a short obi. The striped cotton has a beautiful texture and an unknown original purpose — possibly a furoshiki, possibly something else entirely. That ambiguity is part of its charm. Old things carry questions that can never be fully answered, and that is what makes them worth holding.

Due to the growing global recognition of boro and Japanese vintage fabric, pieces like this have become genuinely difficult to find. Supply is shrinking year by year.
