This apron was made during the mid-Showa period using indigo-dyed kasuri cotton, a traditional Japanese fabric. It is a deadstock item and has never been washed, preserving the vibrant indigo color and distinctive kasuri patterns that are unique to vintage Japanese textiles.
Its nostalgic, retro Showa-era charm makes it a standout piece.
The apron features pockets trimmed with traditional tenugui cloth, with a central stitch dividing each pocket into two smaller sections. This design combines functionality with a subtle Japanese aesthetic.
It can be used as a practical item for work or in the kitchen, or incorporated as a fashion accessory.
