This vintage noragi jacket was born out of Japan’s rural life between the Taisho and early Showa eras.
Made from indigo-dyed cotton fabrics such as solid indigo, kasuri (ikat), and striped textiles, each piece was patched together out of necessity—and guided by the maker’s quiet sense of beauty. Coarse yet sashiko stitches bind these fabrics firmly, creating both function and form.

Both sides of the garment feature unique “crazy patterns,” where coincidence and intention overlap to form a composition that feels almost abstract—like a wearable piece of art.
