Somewhere in early-to-mid Showa-era Japan, this cotton fabric was part of everyday life —
worn in the fields, worn at home, worn until it carried the weight of someone's whole day.

Years later, someone took that antique cloth and remade it into this tunic.
Not a brand. Not a factory. Just hands, fabric, and intention.

The body is woven in a fine stripe cotton.
The neckline and both pockets are trimmed with indigo kasuri —
a traditional Japanese resist-dyed fabric where patterns are woven thread by thread.

Two different vintage fabrics. One handmade garment. Entirely one-of-a-kind.

The silhouette is relaxed and easy, skimming the body without clinging.
Elasticated cuffs keep it comfortable whether you're at home, in the garden, or out for the day.
Pair it with denim, linen trousers, or monpe for an effortlessly slow-fashion look.
