A beautifully aged indigo-dyed sashiko kendo jacket made by Bushuichi, crafted during Japan’s late Heisei era.
This piece was actually worn in the dojo, where years of practice and movement created the striking fades and wear that define its character today.

The once-deep indigo tone has gradually softened through sweat, friction, and time — revealing layered shades of blue and highlighting the three-dimensional texture of the sashiko weave.
It embodies what can only be called a “living indigo”, a color matured through real use rather than design.

Highly sought after by collectors and creators worldwide, Bushuichi’s kendo jackets are now being re-evaluated as true Japan Vintage garments.
