Japanese vintage capes and mantles from the Taisho and Showa eras, when Japan was learning to dress between two worlds. Wool cloaks with velvet collars, worn over kimono and Western suits alike. Indigo dochu kappa, the cotton travel capes that carried people through rain long before waterproof fabric existed.

Every piece here is a single survivor. These garments were not mass-produced for export, and they were not made to last a century. They lasted because someone cared for them. There is no restock, and no second size.
